The Westin W3 Powerstrike-T 3rd Generation 8 MH (Casting) is the definitive casting rod engineered for anglers who demand precision, extreme power, and lightning-fast response when targeting aggressive predators like trophy pike and large zander.1

Built on a fast-action Torayca high-performance carbon blank, this rod is designed to handle heavy lures (40100g) and deliver the ultimate control required for dynamic techniques.2

Features & Angler Benefits

• Heavy Power Casting: The 40100g casting weight is perfect for throwing large jerkbaits, heavy crankbaits, swimbaits, and big soft lures. This power range is essential for controlling and presenting substantial pike and muskie baits.

• Lightning-Fast Action: The fast-action blank delivers a lightning-fast response and exceptional power for instantaneous, deep hook-sets.3 It is ideal for twitching, ripping, and walking-the-dog on big topwater baits.

• Precision and Sensitivity: The Torayca carbon blank offers a perfect blend of sensitivity to feel every subtle vibration and a massive backbone to control the fight when a trophy pike or zander strikes.

• Optimized for Baitcasters: Designed to be combined with a size 200 or 300 BaitCaster reel, this partnership creates the ultimate low-fatigue, high-performance setup for serious pike fishing.

• Premium Casting Components: Equipped with the secure Carbon SKC-LS (Cast) Reel Seat and durable Seaguide TUXMLSG (Cast) Guides, ensuring excellent line management and performance with heavy braided lines.

Ideal Fishing Applications

The 8 length, Medium Heavy (MH) power, and fast action make this rod highly specialized for aggressive predator casting techniques:

1. Jerkbait & Twitchbait Fishing:

   • Technique: Use the rods fast tip to twitch and rip large jerkbaits and hard lures, creating erratic, fish-triggering movements.

   • Benefit: The quick recovery of the fast action ensures consistent lure movement without slack line, and the backbone minimizes angler fatigue.4

2. Heavy Softbait & Swimbait Casting:

   • Technique: Excels at launching and working large soft plastics and swimbaits (up to 100g).5

   • Benefit: The power quickly drives the heavy hook home on distant strikes and provides the leverage to fight fish away from cover.6

3. Topwater & Ripping Crankbaits:

   • Technique: Perfect for aggressively working large topwater baits and ripping crankbaits from weed beds.7

   • Benefit: The fast action allows for quick, precise rod movements for maximum lure action.8
