Product Details and Uses

This rod is part of Shimanos STC (Shimano Travel Concept) range, which focuses on delivering performance in a compact, multi-piece design. Despite being a 4-piece rod, its construction is engineered to ensure an action that rivals traditional 2-piece spinning rods.

Key Features and Fishing Applications:

• Travel-Friendly Design: The 4-piece construction breaks down into a remarkably short transport length (close length), allowing it to fit effortlessly into backpacks, suitcases, or small spaces, making it perfect for anglers who use public transport or travel frequently.
• Versatile Action: The rod features a Moderate-Fast Action. This action provides a good balance, offering enough stiffness in the blank for effective lure work and strong hook sets, while still having enough flex to absorb the fight of a hard-pulling fish.
• Ideal Lure Range: With a casting weight of 7-21g, this rod is perfectly suited for light to medium lure fishing. It is great for casting small to medium-sized soft plastics, spinners, spoons, and crankbaits.
• Target Species: The 7 (approx. 2.10m) length and casting weight make it an excellent choice for species like perch, trout, zander (walleye), and smaller pike, and it is also capable of handling some in-shore saltwater species.
• Durability and Value: Built with a durable composite blank, the STC BB range is tough and designed to withstand the knocks and challenges of frequent travel and general-purpose fishing, offering impressive performance at an accessible price point.
